We are pleased to welcome Well pharmacy as the latest retail chain selling SELFCheck self-test kits in the United Kingdom.

Well, formerly known as The Co-operative Pharmacy, is the largest independent pharmacy business and the third largest overall pharmacy chain after Boots UK and Lloyds Pharmacy with 760 stores. It is also the largest pharmacy chain in Wales and has an online store www.well.co.uk. As well as making sure patients get their NHS prescriptions quickly and easily, their expert pharmacists are on hand to provide patients with advice and support for their health needs.

The SELFCheck range includes simple, reliable and fast home test kits including tests for bowel cancer (FIT), female chlamydia, coeliac disease (gluten sensitivity), urine infections and a drugs of abuse screen. Most SELFCheck tests are based on lateral-flow (immunochromatographic) technology that has been used in pregnancy tests for over 30 years.

Although self-testing kits are not meant to replace a diagnosis by a doctor, early diagnosis with simple home test kits can help prompt individuals to seek medical attention sooner than they may have done.

All self-test kits available in the UK are strictly regulated, with independent review by scientists and clinicians to show that the tests are simple to use and provide results as reliable as a hospital laboratory test.

SELFCheck self test kits are assembled by JR Biomedical Ltd at our ISO13485 certified laboratories in North Wales and supplies pharmacy multiple retailers throughout the United Kingdom.
