The SELFCHECK Pregnancy Urine Test is a sensitive, rapid home test for the detection of raised levels (>25 IU/L) of human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) in a urine sample in just 5 minutes. The test can be used from the first day following your missed period, but like all pregnancy tests, the chances of detecting elevated levels of hCG increases as your pregnancy progresses.

Each pack contains two mid-stream urine devices, with an easy to read instruction leaflet written in clear English. Professional, friendly customer help is provided for customers who require assistance to use the test or interpret the results.

All medical tests, whether used in the hospital laboratory or at home with a self-test kit, will give a small number of false positive or false negative results. For example, a false negative result (or a very faint line) on a pregnancy test, is likely to be due to the test being used too early on, or if you are not testing first thing in the morning when the urine is usually more concentrated. There is always some variation in sensitivity between pregnancy tests from different manufacturers, but most women who are pregnant will get a positive result from the first day of the missed period.

The level of hCG in the urine rises very rapidly during early pregnancy so it is quite possible to get a negative result one day and a positive result a few days later.

SELFCHECK Pregnancy Urine Test kits are assembled in the UK at laboratories, ISO13485:2016 certified for the development, assembly and distribution of medical diagnostics.

It is important to take into account that using a pregnancy test too early or, unknowingly misinterpreting the instructions, may result in an increased risk of false positive or false negative results.
